Registration Information
For new students, Public Registration will open on1 Augustwith the 5% Early Bird discount available until 26 August. You can sign up on our lessons portal, SpeedAdmin, here.
For existing students, we have introduced a new sign-up method this year where parents won’t need to do anything to sign up… students will be automatically re-registered and parents just opt out by 31 July if they want to discontinue lessons. This should reduce the administrative burden for parents over summer, and they won’t miss the Loyalty and Early-Bird discounts as they will be added automatically.
Basic Registration Timeline:
- 1 August– Public Registration Opens
- 26 August– Deadline for receiving Early-Bird discount when registering
- September– Students contacted with details of their allocated teacher and first lesson time
Students will receive an email when they sign up to confirm that they are on the waiting list, ready to be placed in lessons. Once their teacher has been allocated they will receive an email in early September telling them when their first lesson will be.

Children who receive Free School Meals
The cost of instrumental lessons foreFSM qualifying-studentsis effectively free to parents, as the school covers the cost of their learning. They may be offered a Small Group of 3 as the least costly option however this can be discussed with the school

Lesson Times
We usually try to schedule lessons between 9:00AM and 3:00PM – but depending on the flexibility of the school and the student / parent, can occasionally start a little earlier and / or finish a little later than this if required to fit in the full timetable of students.
Wherever possible, we endeavour to operate a rota policy for lessons, to ensure students do not miss the same class subject at the same time every week.
Within secondary schools, priority for timetabling lessons is also given to those inYear 10-13.
Group Lessons
If there are not enough people to make up a full group when you sign up for a group lesson, students will be given pro-rata lessons until a full group signs up. Examples below
- If only 1 person signed up for a Small Group of 2 lesson, they would receive half the lesson time (15 minutes).
- If only 1 person signed up for a Small Group of 3, they would receive a third of the time (10 minutes)
- If only 2 people signed up for a Small Group of 3 they would receive two thirds of the time (20 minutes).
