Class 3: News

What a busy week Year 5 and 6 children have had from the Leavers service on Monday where all children performed and sang exceptionally well. This was followed by a member of staff from Cheshire Military Museum providing a show and tell session and opportunity for the children to learn about local people who were alive during WW2 using a range of sources. The children also looked and handled items that were available during WW2 including gas masks, helmets and military uniform. They also learnt about the Blitz and participated in role play activities involving going into shelters. This opportunity was possible due to recent fund raising during the Sponsored Move event.

On Tuesday, Year 6 had their leavers meal at the Stamford Gate hotel where staff made us all feel welcome and provided delicious food. We are extremely grateful to Mr Roberts and Miss Williams for their generosity in paying for the Leavers meal. Diolch yn fawr iawn!

On Wednesday, the children had a party in the afternoon with Class 1 and 2 participating in lots of outdoor fun activities, had a party food and finished the afternoon with some dancing in the hall. Fun was had by all and we were fortunate to have the weather on our side for once.

The PowerPoints from the Year 6 service will be sent to the children’s Hwb accounts and will be available to view until the 31st August when access to the accounts will be removed for Year 6 pupils.
Polite Reminder  Photos are not to be shared on any social media platforms as to do so could put children at risk. Thank you.

We would like to wish you all a lovely summer, Good luck to Year 6 moving to High School and we look forward to working with the new Year 5 & 6 pupils in September.

Thank you once again for your support this year.
Diolch yn fawr iawn!
Regards,
Mrs Roberts, Mrs Critchell and Mrs Maddocks
