NEWS: Class 2

Hello Class 2,
Just a little reminder, we have Outdoor Learning on Monday led by Polly Snape. However, with the very changeable weather we are having at the moment, please remember to wear warm clothes, a coat and sensible footwear, sun protection and a hat, so we are ready for whatever the weather! I’m sure we will have a great time! Thank you,
Kindest regards,
Mrs Shickell and Mrs Greenough.

News: Carmel Cricket Club

Carmel Cricket Club held sessions in the school this week to give children from years 2 to 6 a taste of what is available from the national initiatives of All Stars (for 5 to 8 year olds), and Dynamos (for 8 to 11 year olds), which offers eight weekly sessions that start at 6pm on Friday 13th May.

All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic first experience for all children aged 5-8 years old where they’re guaranteed 8 weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends and have a great time doing so.

Every child that registers will receive a backpack full of goodies. Your child’s pack will include:

  • Backpack
  • Cricket bat
  • Cricket ball
  • Personalised t-shirt with your child’s name

Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport!

Complementing junior cricket, Dynamos provides children with a more social offer focused on developing fundamental movement skills and applying them in an exciting game of countdown cricket.

Every child who registers will receive their very own Dynamos Cricket New Balance t-shirt, personalised with their name and number.

The cost for either the All Stars or Dynamos sessions, including the kit, is £40

News: Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board

Dear Parent / Carer,

Vaccinate Your Child.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is running a child vaccination campaign called ‘Vaccinate Your Child ’. The campaign encourages us to make sure our children get their routine vaccinations. This provides the best protection against a range of potentially serious diseases, such as measles, mumps and rubella. Making sure your child is vaccinated is important, but if your child hasn’t received all vaccinations it never too late to catch up.

BCUHB want to reassure parents & carers that strict infection prevention and control measures, including social distancing, are still in place in all healthcare settings. This helps to protect you, your child, and the healthcare staff who administer the vaccinations, from contracting and spreading COVID-19.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call your GP Practice or Health Visitor who will be glad to reassure you before you attend the vaccination appointment.

For more information on the routine childhood vaccinations schedule, including videos and a short film for children, please visit the Health Board’s vaccination webpages: https://bcuhb.nhs.wales/health-advice/immunisations/immunisations/
