Well done to all players who represented Brynford at the Flintshire World Cup Football Festival today at Deeside Leisure Centre. 32 Primary schools from across Flintshire participated in the event organised by Dragon Sports. The pupils all showed great determination, team spirit and were amazing, considering the awful weather conditions we had to deal with. Thank you to all parents and staff who supported with transport, and to the parents who braved the rain and cheered us on. We made it through to the knock out stages but unfortunately lost on penalties in our second round. Gwaith bendigedig everyone!
Regards,
Mrs Roberts

Class 3: Welcome back
Good morning/Bora da pawn,
I hope you have all had a good night sleep and enjoyed sharing all the wonderful activities you have participated in at Colomendy. I wonder how many parents know the songs we have learnt over the last couple of days? I think my family know them now too.
On behalf of Miss Davies and myself we would like to say what a pleasure it has been to take class 3 to Colomendy. All pupils have shown immense determination and they have all overcome different fears. It has been wonderful to see them work as a team, showing cooperation and constantly encouraging each other and staff. The activities have helped to develop their independence, creativity, problem solving, expressive skills and confidence.
They have received many compliments from the instructors with regards to their positive attitudes and behaviour showing and reinforcing the good behaviour of Ysgol Brynffordd pupils.
Well done everyone you should be very proud of yourselves! 👏👏
Enjoy your weekend and see you all Monday.
Regards,
Mrs Roberts and Miss Davies

Class 3: Day 2
Evening everybody!
Wow, what a day we have had today. It has been packed full of activities. After breakfast we went caving, some tight squeezes but we all managed to navigate through caves.
We then went abseiling, we all had a go from the top, it was great. Everyone was encouraging each other and we worked as a team to help our friends.
We then had a scavenger hunt, we had to use the items found from our scavenger hunt to make a mini camp area for survival.. which fits perfectly with our topic.
We had lunch then split into our two groups, and over the afternoon did archery and the leap of faith.
You all would be so proud to see your children and how resilient they were and how encouraging they were to their friends and also to us as teachers. The leap of faith consisted of climbing up a pole and standing on a small platform then jump off and try and hit the ball.
Everyone had a go even if it was just to climb up the pole, but your children were truly incredible today.
We have had our evening meal and now completing the final activity of the day before pacing and getting ready to come home tomorrow.
Catch up with you tomorrow morning,
Nos da,
Miss Davies and Mrs Roberts.. also we have a visit from Mrs Parry 😀
