News: Save the Date from Welsh Government

Nodwch y dyddiad! Mae’r terfyn 20mya mewn grym – Cerdded neu Feicio i’r ysgol

Save the date! 20mph is here – Walk or Wheel to school

Ar 18 Medi rydym yn annog dysgwyr, rhieni/gofalwyr a staff i gerdded i’r ysgol neu fynd ar eu beic er mwyn dathlu dechrau’r terfyn cyflymder diofyn newydd o 20mya.

On 18 September, we are encouraging learners, parents/carers and staff to walk or wheel to school to celebrate the default 20mph speed limit starting.

O 17 Medi 2023 bydd y rhan fwyaf o derfynau cyflymder 30mya ledled Cymru yn newid i 20mya.

Mae terfyn o 20mya yn gwneud y mannau lle rydym yn byw, yn gweithio a’n chwarae yn fwy diogel. I ddathlu hyn hoffem annog dysgwyr, rhieni/gofalwyr a staff i gerdded i’r ysgol neu feicio, mynd ar eu sgwteri neu yn eu cadeiriau olwyn i’r ysgol ddydd Llun 18 Medi.

Gweithgaredd gwirfoddol yw hwn a byddwn yn rhannu rhagor o wybodaeth amdano ar ddechrau’r tymor newydd.

Os byddai gan eich ysgol ddiddordeb mewn cymyd rhan hoffem glywed gennych. Cysylltwch â:[email protected]

From 17 September 2023, most 30mph limits across Wales will change to 20mph.

At 20mph it’s safer for everyone where we live, work and play. To celebrate this, we want to encourage learners, parents/carers and staff to walk, or wheel (cycle, scoot, wheelchair) to school on Monday 18 September.

This is a voluntary activity and we’ll share more information about it at the start of the new term.

If this is something that your school would be interested in participating in, we would love to hear from you. Please contact:[email protected]

Bydd y terfyn cyflymder o 30mya ar y rhan fwyaf o ffyrdd yng Nghymru yn newid i 20mya o 17 Medi.

Rydym felly’n annog pawb i gerdded, beicio neu fynd ar eu sgwteri i’r ysgol ar 18 Medi i ddathlu hyn.

Most 30mph roads in Wales will change to a 20mph limit from 17 Sept.

So we are encouraging everyone to walk, wheel or scoot to school on 18 Sept in celebration.

Let’s look out for each other, it’s safer at 20. #ReadyFor20mph
