News: Summer Reading Challenge

Dear All,

We would like to invite your pupils to take part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge- Silly Squad. Silly Squad will officially launch in Wales this Friday with the launch of the online resources in Welsh.  Even though our services are not running in the normal way we would like to encourage children to join in the fun, get silly and keep reading over the summer with us.  To mark the launch there will be a special ‘Silly Hour’ on Friday afternoon where we will be sharing silly stories via our Facebook page  www.facebook.com/LlyfrgelloeddAuraLibraries/

Children can read any books they like to take part in the challenge- school books, e- books, their own books or they can order library books via our ‘Select & Collect’ service :call 01352 703750, emaillibraries@aura.walesor by filling in an order form via our websitewww.aura.wales/libraries

It’s really easy to join the challenge too.  Children can sign up online athttps://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/ or they can just pop along to either Buckley, Connah’s Quay, Flint or Mold Libraries from 27thJuly to collect their Silly Squad ‘Challenge in Bag’  which contains everything they need.  Children ordering books will automatically receive a Silly Squad bag.

We would love if you could share this information with parents and children.  I have attached further information which goes into more detail about ‘Silly Squad’.

Best wishes

Susannah
