Today for the first time since COVID the year 6 participated in a Cricket festival at Hawarden Cricket club. They did a fantastic job representing Ysgol Brynffordd and should be very proud of their commitment, team spirit and determination to succeed. They came joint 3rd narrowly missing out to second place.
Well done all girls and thank you to all parents who helped with transport.
NEWS: ECO / WELL-BEING DAY
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are writing to you to inform you we will be celebrating our Eco/Well-being day on Tuesday 14th June.
Pre Covid-19, this was an event we all looked forward to, therefore, this year we are hoping to make it the best day ever!
Children are to come to school in old clothes – clothes they do not mind getting dirty, clothes that will be appropriate to the weather conditions of the day, sensible outdoor footwear, sun cream, sun hats or warm coats….. but we are hoping for sunshine!
We have planned various activities to help us promote our Eco school status and also, activities that will promote well – being too. Something that we hope everyone will enjoy.
We would also like to ask for some donations too, items listed are some we will appreciate:
Plant pots, vegetable seeds, sun flower seeds, large paintbrushes, wool,
old shirts, flowers, plants, compost, canes, old wellingtons, coloured feathers, beads and garden
ornaments…. we appreciate any donations to help our day run smoothly.
Thank you, diolch,
Should you require any further information, please see Mrs Shickell or Mrs Parry.
We thank you,
Yours sincerely,
The Eco Committee.
