News: School Meal Price Increase

We have been notified that the school meal price will increase from Monday 2nd October 2023.
Flintshire County Council will be increasing the cost of both the infant and junior school meals from £2.50 to £2.80 a rise of 12%.
You no doubt be aware that all pupils from Reception up to year 4 are now entitled to these meals for free in Wales with years 5 and 6 scheduled to receive these for free by April 2024.’
All rises will be effective from Monday 2nd October 2023. As always, Flintshire have compared our prices with other authorities across Wales and this change ensures that Flintshire pupils continue to receive excellent value for money for a balanced, nutritious, and tasty midday meal.
