News: CLASS 2 update

Hello Class 2,
I hope you are all keeping safe and well.  It is lovely to hear you have been making some special memories whilst away from school.
I just want to say a MASSIVE WELL DONE to those children who have been busy working on the  2do’s on Purple Mash and for sending blogs to our Class blog page. I have sent blogs to the Class page also, and therefore, thank you to those who have replied….It is really super to know that you are keeping yourself busy. It is also great to read the comments you include with tasks that you complete as this helps me to evaluate  your learning. So, THANK YOU very much for doing this.
I have set new tasks for you to work on , there are also new books for you to read and complete  the activities based on the chapters…. from your messages I can see you enjoy these very much.
Please remember to ‘Log On’ as often as you can to have a look what is set for you as some of the tasks, I will be closing soon and therefore, there won’t be any of these saved in your folders. So, please have a look and have a go at some of the tasks on there…. there are quite a few now!
Anyway Class 2, stay safe and well and should you need any further information or just to say hello, drop me a message and I will get back to you,
Thank you for your hard work,
Take care, From, Mrs Shickell.

Class 1: Home learning challenge grid week beginning 8th June 2020

Hello,

We hope you are all keeping well and that you are managing to get yourself moving and motivated each day. It’s good to get outside for fresh air, listen to or sing your favourite song, play a game you enjoy and even have some quiet, relaxing time.

Please see the attached Home learning challenge grid for week beginning 8th June. There are a range of activities for you to try. A creative challenge to make your own secret garden, a chance to dance along to a song that featured in the film, ‘Sing’ and an activity to sort animals that are active at night or active in the day, to name but a few.

We miss not seeing you face to face so it’s always great to see and hear what you are getting up to via Purple Mash and Seesaw.

As always please get in touch to ask a question about anything you are unsure of.

Stay safe, stay healthy.

News: Travel to Tokyo Challenge

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Ysgol Brynffordd School will be taking part in

Team GB and ParalympicsGB’s virtual

Travel to Tokyo challenge and we’re encouraging

the entire school community to join in too!

We have turned the school into a

Travel to Tokyo team and will be setting weekly

active goals to get involved in. All you need to do

is get active as a family and record your activity on

the easy-to use Log Activity page

You can get started by trying some fun

Travel to Tokyo activity ideas. All the physical activity

your family does will count towards their team goals.

You don’t need lots of equipment or space – playing in

the park or having a dance off to your favourite

song – if it gets your heart pumping, it all counts!

There will also be great prizes to win each week,

like fitness trackers, and Games hampers for the

whole family.

You can keep track of our team’s progress and

check out the weekly prize on our School Dashboard.

This is not compulsory but a great way to keep active

with your family and record what you have done.

To get involved simply follow the steps below:

1. Log onto www.getset.co.uk

2. Then, click on Travel to Tokyo

3. Next, click on families

4. Then, click on ‘Find school’ and enter school postcode (CH8 8AD)

5. Then, click on Brynfford School and press submit

6. Next, scroll down to find your child’s class and click to add activity

7. Finally, scroll down to log your activity (there are different options

available to select) then press submit.

Please find attached a flyer and you can watch videos

on the getset website for more information.

Enjoy and many thanks for your continued support.

Regards,

Mrs Roberts
